Sunday Book Share #98

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe; and Library Loot co-hosted by The Captive Reader and Silly Little Mischief. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

I HAVE AIR CONDITIONING!!!

A friend found a good deal on a portable unit at BJ's Discount Club and let me use her membership to purchase it. Eventually I'll have to replace the wall unit but right now this is a better fit for my budget. So naturally, the temps were cooler last week; so much so that Goof  abandoned the cool tile floor of the dark bathroom to go back to his ottoman under the sunny living room window. I also got a lot of reading done last week despite being back at work.

The Week In Review

Odd, interesting, or funny search phrases leading to the blog: Apparently, people looking for the blog last week were feeling lusty. In addition to the ever popular search term 'threesome', there were two new ones: 'sex hot blogspot' and 'steamy romance excerpts online'

I didn't do as well as I'd like with my ban but I did read a lot last week so, the TBR pile total is down despite my lack of control.

I asked for this months ago, waited impatiently for an answer, then got an email from the publicist asking if I want to review. Oh, hmm. Let me think about that. :D It arrived on Friday, a perfect ending to a work week.

I'll be reviewing this in September, although it's out at the end of this month. There will also be a giveaway and a fun post on dirty words. :)

Since I enjoyed The Cursed I gave in to temptation and requested the next one.

  2. LOL Air conditioning is a life-saver when it comes to these crazy temperatures. So I'm sure you'll enjoy all day long now. You've got some amazing books and I hope you'll enjoy them. Great haul :)

  3. I am so jealous of the air conditioning! We usually don't add air conditioners to our houses here in Finland since it normally isn't that hot here since the summer is quite short, but in the past couple of weeks it has been so warm here that the house fells like a sauna all the time.

Enjoy your air conditioning though and all of your new books! :) Have a good week!

  7. Nice new books, Bea. Glad you found a solution to the air conditioning situation. I've been loving the cooler temps, but of course you know we're in for another heat wave before summer's end--now you're ready for it! Have a great week.

  8. Having AC is important for the summer. It would be too hot without it. Heather Graham's book looks interesting.

  9. YAY!!! AC :) I can't even imagine how you lived for so long without it. I would have died!

I am looking froward to seeing what you think of Kelley Armstrong's Visions. I have an odd relationship with her books. I loved them but not as much as I think everyone else does. So I cam curious to see what you think.

Have a great week Bea!! Happy Reading

Phenomenal haul this week! That's funny about the Armstrong book! I've had pubs approve me for the ebook AFTER they've sent me the physical. Oh well...

  14. Glad to hear that you have air-conditioning. We needed ours yesterday and looks like it will still be needed for the next 4-5 days. I enjoyed Visions. Come see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!

  15. Yay! I'm glad you were able to get an air conditioner - and those things work pretty good. Of course the temperatures would drop as soon as you got it, that's how it goes. If you hadn't you would have had record breaking heat, right?

Enjoy your new reads - that's too funny about the one you requested. At least you ended up with it some how :P Have a great week!

  16. YAY FOR AIRCONDITIONING!!! I'm on holiday in Scotland and the flat I'm staying in doesn't have air conditioning. You would think it'd be cold up here, but it's really hot this summer.

    Happy reading!
