I'm reading a cozy mystery, "Murder at Honeychurch Hall" by Hannah Dennison. The quote is from 56%  in the ebook. I'll be reviewing it for a blog tour next month.

"Why don't we call the restaurant? It's probably still open."
"I don't have the number."
"It was Crumb, wasn't it?"
Vera nodded. "Bloody stupid name for a restaurant."
I brought out my iPhone, Googled the number, and called them. "They said the reservation is for tomorrow night."
"Oh God,"she wailed. "I'm such a fool."

  1. Somehow I know exactly what is meant by a 'cozy' murder mystery! There is just something about some books that makes you want to curl up in bed and pleasantly spend a day reading. Also, there is nothing worse than getting a reservation wrong when you're with a group of people!
Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great weekend!

  5. I've showcased a mystery for this week's Friday 56 too. I've forgotten how fun a good mystery novel is.

  6. The book's cover is so appealing. Love that little cottage with the dog in front. Good dialogue in your excerpt too. This sounds like a delightful book.
