Sunday Book Share #66

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews, and Library Loot co-hosted by The Captive Reader and The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. All of these memes give book bloggers the chance to share print and digital books they've received, and posts and events at their blogs.

Last week was unusually warm for December in New England, temps were in the 50s! But we're supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow morning and chilly temps. Brrrr. I want the 50s back. :D I took some time to purge some books and donate them so instead of collecting dust in my living room, now they're being used and appreciated. :) Also, my injured wrist is almost 100% better. On the downside, I was sick again last week and my brand new cell phone decided that it didn't want to actually work as a phone. I couldn't make or receive calls. Since I don't have a land line, that was a bad situation. It was nice to discover though that I had friends willing to call 911 when they couldn't get hold of me. :)

  5. I don't have a landline either, but at least the 5 of us have phones, so unless it's a Verizon implosion one of them should work. :)

Great haul! I also have My Familiar Stranger though I picked mine up in Aug 2012. O.O Oops! Better get crackin' on that ginormous freebie TBR.

  7. Hope you are feeling better!

We're supposed to get some snow tonight for the first time this year, but they aren't expecting much. It's pretty cold, though.

I donated a bunch of books today too. Hopefully someone else will put them to better use than I did. I just knew which ones I wasn't going to get around to reading.

    Have a great week!

  8. Ha - I'm too paranoid to get rid of our landline, even though we rarely use it. Glad your wrist is better. Enjoy your books.

  10. I'm sorry that you are sick, I think the weather is not helping us here at our house either. One day it's freezing cold and then 2 days later it almost 70 degrees. Ugh. Enjoy all your new book. I hope they get your phone fixed.

Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post.

  11. I am planning on getting books cleaned out and donated right after the holidays. I have stacks that need a new home. I am going to mailing them to a reservation as per Candace@Candace's Book Blog. Glad you have someone willing to call 911 on your behalf. Hopefully your phone is up and running this week. Oh boy, a new Kelley Armstrong. I had no idea. Must go look that up! Have a wonderful week, Bea!
