Quote-Tastic #1

Welcome to a brand new meme! Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup did a post a few weeks ago about some of her favorite quotes that was a lot of fun to read. She decided to make it a weekly meme and I jumped at the chance to participate. Want to join in the fun? Go here for all the info.

This week's quotes are from a book I read over the weekend, Playing Hooky by Rita Webb, and the review will be posting in a few hours. It was a cute book and I enjoyed it.

As always, Angelina's the image of vomit-inducing school-girl perfection.
My sister Angelina is too perfect. Straight-A honor student. Mother's sweetie pie. Father's angel.
If I told her how she'd make a cute cheerleader, she would tear me apart. She could flay a man alive with that sharp tongue of hers. And I love every stormy minute of having her as my best friend.
"All these years, you've been lying to me." "I'm me. I've always been me." If she walks away from me now, it would destroy me.
Mama Maria turns her back on us while stirring her pot and mumbling obscenities to herself that would make a sailor blush. "Incantations," Jason mouths to me. I'd never thought those words would be for chanting spells.
