Forged In Ash COVER REVEAL

On Monday, author Trish McCallan was here with a guest post about the heroes in her Red-Hot SEALs series. Montlake Romance just released the revised version of book one, Forged In Fire, on Tuesday. Today, we have the cover for book two, Forged In Ash, due to be released March 5th, 2013. And now, for the cover! Get a glass of cold water first. :D

Interesting placement of his hands, lol. I like that his body is ashy; I like it when the book cover is actually relevant to the title or story.

  1. Bea, thanks for the cover reveal! You don't quite see it, because his hands are covering the gun and what little of the gun is visible, blends into his camo pants, but he is actually chambering a round. Which I thought was just perfect. I'd never seen a stock photo where the model is actual chambering a round.

    1. I assumed he was holding a gun but it's hard to tell that he's chambering a round. I really like the ash effect, it's nicely done.

    2. Yeah, it is hard to see what he's doing. He had big hands. LOL And I love the ash effect too. Really love the way it turned out.

  3. This is a different take on bare chested cover guys. It's very realistic, seems authentic and not your typical "posed" shot.

    1. Linnae,

So cool, you just described exactly what I said to the cover artist when I saw the stock photo and why I wanted him so bad. He really popped for me, not just the muscles, but the attitude, the fact he was actually chambering a round, that it was an active pose, if that makes sense--not just standing there looking buff.
