Give Away & Spotlight On: How to Ravish a Rake by Vicky Dreiling

Welcome to the next stop on Forever Romance's Blog Tour for "How To Ravish A Rake", the newest book by RITA nominated author Vicky Dreiling. She has three nominations for the 2011 RITA's - Best Regency Historical and Best First Book: How To Marry A Duke and Best Regency Historical: How To Seduce A Scoundrel. The winners will be announced July 28, 2012, at the RITA and Golden Heart Awards Ceremony to be held at the 2012 RWA Annual Conference in Anaheim, California.

Vicky is a confirmed historical romance junkie and Anglophile. Frequent business trips to the UK allowed her to indulge her passion for all things Regency England. Bath, Stonehenge, and Spencer House are among her favorite places. She is, however, truly sorry for accidentally setting off a security alarm in Windsor Castle. That unfortunate incident led her British colleagues to nickname her “Trouble.” When she’s not writing, Vicky enjoys reading, films, concerts, and most of all, long lunches with friends. A native Texan, she holds degrees in English literature and marketing.

Book Blurb (from author's website):

SCANDALOUS DESIRES . . .

Amy Hardwick has one last Season to shake off her wallflower image and make a love match. If she can’t, she’ll set aside her dreams of romance and return home to a suitor who can provide security—if little else. What she doesn’t count on is the inappropriate—and irresistible—attention lavished on her in a darkened library by rake extraordinaire Will “The Devil” Darcett . . .

DEVILISH DELIGHT

When Will is caught in a tryst with the tons shyest miss, he knows he must offer for her hand. Yet Amy is not the shrinking violet she seems to be. Passion lies beneath her prim exterior and Will is eager to release it. But winning Amy isn’t simply a matter of seduction; first, Will must convince her that he’s mended his wicked ways . . .

  5. My husband and I visited England and I can understand why Vicky loves going there! My husband is a master stone mason you a visit to Stonehenge was a definately must for us.

One reason I love Vicky's book is because of the pictures she creates of the different locations in her books. Even for someone who has not had the pleasure of visiting themselves she makes you feel like you are there with the other characters.

After having read all her other books you can be sure that I'll be reading Will and Amy's story as well.

Thanks for giving all her readers a a chance to win a copy of How to Ravish a Rake!

  6. I'd definately have a fight with my husband over which time period to live in but I would love to live in the Regency era! He on the other hand would pick the time period of the druids and be at Stonehenge helping to build it! (He's a master stone mason and even after visiting Stonehenge himself still can't figure out how they did it!)

  7. Although I would love to go back in time to visit, I would not want to live there. Same thing with the future. I guess I would just stay in the present time period to live. I guess I don't like changes too much, having to get used to living in another time period would be difficult. However, if the future has self cleaning homes, laundry, something to keep you from having to cook, etc I would so want to go to the future! LOL

  8. Oh geeze! I have always been fascinated by the ton and their scandal. Crazy to think how scandalized they would be in today's society. But I think I would want to be able to hop around to all kinds of times for a bit just to take a closer peak. Thanks so much for the giveaway! I really want to read this book!

  15. I'd love to visit the past and the future, but I think I'd live in the present. At least I know what's going on now.
